UrbanWatch is a volunteer monitoring program for urban green spaces. This hands-on adventure in environmental learning combines science and technology with community action to track urban green spaces. Through UrbanWatch, high school teachers and students conduct biological inventories of their local open green spaces. UrbanWatch provides students and teachers with an opportunity to learn more about urban ecology and enables them to influence land management practices.
