Cacao Farming

Keeping up with the growing demand for chocolate isn’t easy. Most cacao is grown on small family farms. These farmers often struggle with crop failure, pests, and diseases. As a result, researchers worry about a possible chocolate shortage in the future.

However, there are different ways to grow cacao and several possible solutions to the problems that plague small farmers.
