The Great Fossil Hunt (Grades 3–8)
Find out what it takes to be a paleontologist! Students will learn about the process of fossilization as they search the floor of The Field Museum for fossils. Then they'll unearth and prepare fossilized creatures for display as they theorize about ancient life and discover what fossils can tell us about the past.

Little ones will explore a variety of African instruments and create their own African percussion ensemble, complete with self-made instruments and traditional rhythms.

Egypt Unwrapped
Grades 3-8
Prepare a mummy for its journey to the afterlife. You‚ll explore the traditions and beliefs of ancient Egypt as you recreate sacred objects and treasures of this ancient civilization. State Goals: 17.B, 17.C, 18.A, 18.B, 18.C
