Chocolate In the Americas
It makes sense that a huge wealth of culinary chocolate delights comes from Central and South America, the original home of the cacao tree.

Many contemporary Mexican recipes preserve the flavors of the ancient Mesoamerican chocolate by blending corn and chiles with cacao. Early Spanish traditions appear, too, in the use of nuts, cinnamon, and other spices.
