The Field Museum has been actively engaged in scientific research around the world since 1893. As one of the leading authorities on evolution, The Field Museum has 200-plus scientists who work in more than 90 countries to better understand the unique and complex planet that is our home.
From botanists and paleontologists to paleoanthropologists and zoologists, the men and women on staff at The Field Museum have participated in a number of groundbreaking studies on evolution. Their research has helped shape Evolving Planet, an exhibition that explains how evolution works and examines some of the strong evidence we have to support it.
