Called the Age of Dinosaurs, the Mesozoic Era saw the evolution of the largest animals to have ever walked the earth. Although most of these giants would eventually disappear, they would give rise to birds: today’s only living dinosaurs.
The Mesozoic Era was also the age of reptiles, with crocodiles, snakes, and turtles making their first appearance. These animals could explore new habitats made lush by the first flowering plants.
