FAMILY—Muridae

COMMON NAME—Palawan pencil-tailed tree mouse.

DISTRIBUTION—
Palawan Faunal Region only (Musser, 1979). Records are from Balabac (USNM), Busuanga (UIMNH), and Palawan (FMNH) islands.

HABITAT—
Known only from lowland forest near sea level (Taylor, 1934), coconut groves, and bamboo thickets (Sanborn, 1952).

STATUS—
Unknown.
