Chicago Parent Magazine recently previewed The Field Museum's upcoming exhibition Extreme Mammals (opening Friday, May 25). The exhibition, according to Museum Project Manager Anna Altschwager, "focuses on all the 'crazy extreme variations within our family group'." Visitors will be able to stand under a model of an Indricotherium, the largest land mammal to ever walk the Earth--standing 15 feet tall and weighing in at 20 tons, as well as see a model of the teeny-tiny Badodanoides, who weighed less than a dollar bill. Chicago Parent tells readers that the family-friendly exhibition will even help children learn how human beings are, in fact, extreme. To learn more, click here.
