The Field Museum offers free basic admission for 28 days to Illinois residents

What: For the third year in a row, The Field Museum will be free for Illinois residents during the entire month of February. Free Days are about an 80-dollar savings for a family of four, making them the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the many adventures at the Museum this winter—from exploring the pyramids of ancient Egypt to witnessing the history of life on earth, and, of course, plenty of dinosaurs.

Free February falls during the beginning of SUE’s transformation. Starting February 5th, visitors can witness and capture the action happening in Stanley Field Hall as we move the skeletal celebrity SUE, piece by piece. Visitors can take and share their selfies by using the #SUEontheMove hashtag for a chance to be featured on the Museum’s social handles. The beloved SUE will make their debut during the spring of 2019 in their new state of the art suite in the Field’s permanent exhibition Evolving Planet.

When: February 1-28; from 9am to 5pm.

Where: The Field Museum, 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago IL, 60605

Details: With proof of residency, Illinois residents can enjoy free Basic Admission on all above specified Free Days in February. Visitors that wish to upgrade to an All-Access Pass, which includes access to Ancient Mediterranean Cultures in Contact, Cyrus Tang Hall of China, Underground Adventure, and a 3D movie, can do so at an additional cost. Illinois residents must show valid proof of residency. Visit The Field Museum website for details.
