Midwest Living Highlights Wonders of the 1893 World's Fair

On October 25, The Field Museum first brought visitors among the marvels that amazed fair-goers 121 years ago with Opening the Vaults: Wonders of the 1893 World’s Fair. Although today discovering, mummies, giant seals, and other cultures are just a click away thanks to technology, this exhibition encourages visitors to take a step back in time and see the world through the eyes of those visiting the fair.
