Introduction

image

This website addresses the importance of forest regeneration, with the goal to disseminate information that:

aids in identification of seeds, fruits and seedlings of trees, shrubs and lianas

integrates science with the knowledge of local human communities

has conservation implications to be applied toward further research on plant regeneration and restoration of African forests

Dual language (Swahili-English)
We utilize Swahili, a language spoken in several East African countries, to enhance the communication with broader audiences. Swahili has also been adopted as the official language for Africa by the African Union, and therefore permits possibilities for future interactions between and among scientists, conservation practitioners and the general public across the African continent.

The Swahili version will be uploaded soon.
