Focusing on the types of diverse and complex societies in the Americas before European conquest, The Ancient Americas explores the challenges that human beings everywhere have faced for millennia. The Ancient Americas tells the story of how culture changes as people, influenced by their environment, history, and creativity, adapt to changing circumstances with different solutions. Within the exhibit, the concepts of cultural evolution or change, classification, continuity, and more are explored.
