Squirrels: Inside Out

This Ask a Scientist session is for classrooms with students in grades 6th-8th. Register to confirm your seat. 

This Virtual Visits broadcast is not available during the 2015/2016 school year. 

Follow along as a squirrel is skinned and dissected. Students will learn about the anatomy of the Illinois Gray Squirrel and how museum collections further scientific research and discovery.

Students will go behind-the-scenes of The Field Museum and "visit" to one of the Museum’s state-of-the-art laboratories. Students can see, hear, and interact with Field Museum staff and learn about current research at the Museum. NGSS algined pre-and-post activities accompany each broadcast.
