Leave with new skills, student activity ideas, and materials from the Harris Learning Collection to inspire your students about Earth’s natural and cultural diversity.

Get a hands-on and in-depth introduction to the Next Generation Science Standards! Explore how the standards are designed and make connections to your current science curriculum. You’ll have a chance to collaborate with other educators and practice using the standards to create learning goals and assessments. We’ll also demonstrate how to use the Harris Learning Collection materials to meet these exciting new benchmarks.
Saturday, March 21, 2015 Life and Death in Anciet Egypt
Journey into the world of the Ancient Egyptian! Our guide through this tale of life and death? The written word! Learn about the development of writing, including Egyptian hieroglyphs, and the role that writing played in both the daily and ceremonial life of Ancient Egyptians. This session will include a guided tour through the full-sized mastaba, or tomb, of Unis-Ankh and tips on how to use an Experience Box model of this tomb in your classroom.
