The Aztecs are one of the world's most famous Mesoamerican cultures, but there are many more to discover at The Field Museum. Before or after you visit The Aztec World, be sure to stop by The Museum's new permanent exhibition, The Ancient Americas, where you'll learn more about the hundreds of diverse societies that thrived here long before the arrival of Europeans.
The Ancient Americas takes you on a journey through 13,000 years of human ingenuity and achievement in the western hemisphere. You'll see more than 2,200 artifacts, fantastic reconstructions, and dozens of videos and interactive displays that explore the peoples living in the Americas before us. Step into the windswept world of Ice Age mammoth hunters, walk through a replica of an 800-year-old pueblo dwelling, and even learn what the Aztec and Inca shared in common as empire-building peoples.
To learn more about this permanent exhibition, visit The Ancient Americas website. Entry to this 19,000-square-foot permanent exhibition is included with the purchase of your tickets to The Aztec World.
