Visit the Field Museum's online butterfly exhibit. This site explains the biology of these insects as well as some interesting history about the museum's Lepidoptera collections. Throughout this site you will also find various drawings of Lepidoptera, some as old as 1842!
Field Museum's library
Libraries are a crucial component of scientific research. Ben Williams, a BugCamp lecturer, is currently involved in a large project to catalogue images from the rare book collection at the museum. Pictured below is one such image.

Iowa State University Department of Entomology
This site has excellent information for kids and adults. The image gallery has pictures of six orders of insects, some arachnids, and plants. Pest control information is available here for the home and garden. An insect chat room is available for sharing information, and an index of internet resources for children and adults.
Bugscope
Bugscope is an educational outreach program that provides individual science classes throughout the U.S. and access to a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Some SEM photographs can be seen on this site.

A nonprofit youth education organization. This is the YES homepage. You can become a member of the Young Entomologists Society and subscribe to YES publications at this site. The links page will direct you to more YES sites, like the Minibeast Zooseum and the YES members clubhouse.
The University of Michigan Insect Division
This site contains a lot of interesting information for children and adults. Kids may be particularly interested in the Arthropod Picture Archive. The archive contains pictures of insects belonging to eight orders.

This site contains some really cool three dimensional images of insects and good information about the insects.

This site contains a little bit of everything, gardening information, environmental articles and conservation alert bulletins, an image gallery, and many resource guides. Educators can share science projects their schools are doing on the Nature Education page; a good way to get some fresh ideas.
The Pet Arthropod Page
This site focuses on keeping arthropods at home. Some arthropods discussed are, cochroaches, scorpions, and millipedes. This site encourages captive breeding which would discourage the removal of arthropods from their native habitats, just to supply pet stores.
