The butterfly in the center (and to its right), Papilio anticostiensis, is one that was first described by Herman Strecker.

This color plate, Plate 2, is one of fifteen illustrated and engraved by Strecker for his book Lepidoptera Rhopaloceres and Heteroceres, Indigenous and Exotic. Philadelphia, 1872-1877.
