
Definitions
participant observation:
Long-term, intense interaction with members of a community during which the researcher plunges into their daily activities as completely as possible.
semi-structured interviews
Interviews based on an interview guideline where the ethnographer loosely follows a list of questions or topics to be covered in the interview.
structured interviews
Interviews involve exposing every informant in a sample to the same stimuli. In our study, several researchers used questionnaires to elicit some data.
