About the CEEP Internet Portal

The Calumet Environmental Education Program (CEEP) Internet Portal is a virtual resource center to support educators and students participating in conservation education and action programs in the Calumet region. Designed to be an interactive, conversational resource, this website can serve as a place for educators to receive and share knowledge with one another and CEEP staff.

Before It’s Too Late, A Report to the Nation from The National Commission on Mathematics and Science Teaching for the 21st Century (The Glenn Report) recommends an interactive Internet Portal as a method to support educators in science and mathematics instruction. This Portal will connect educators to resources already available on the Web elsewhere, while providing a framework for new entries over time.

The Calumet Environmental Education Program is a new model of conservation education translating science into action for students and educators in the Calumet region, supported by The Field Museum Environmental and Conservation Programs Department, the McDougal Family Foundation and the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation.

NEW! The CEEP publication A Model for Science Learning is now online. Go to www.fieldmuseum.org/ceeppublication for more information.
