For more than a century, The Field Museum has been a leader in conducting original scientific research, and providing world-class public education. The Museum organizes and presents exhibitions that bring science to life for more than 1.35 million visitors, maintains a collection of nearly 25 million cultural objects and specimens, conducts groundbreaking research on all seven continents, and annually offers over 2,500 innovative educational programs.

Corporate support is critical to the Museum’s success, allowing us to open our doors 364 days a year, and seize new opportunities to explore our world and share its wonders with people of all ages.

The Field Museum’s Corporate Relations Program provides extensive benefits to our member companies, including free general admission for all employees plus one guest, exclusive entertainment privileges, a corporate family day, private behind-the-scenes tours of the Museum, employee volunteer opportunities, and much more.  Corporate membership funds support the Museum’s general operations.

The Field Museum presents world-class exhibitions that are promoted onsite and in the community through award-winning advertising and media campaigns to attract large audiences. Sponsorship opportunities offer companies the highest level of visibility and the closest association with the Museum.  Recent exhibitions include Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age, Whales: Giants of the Deep, and Chocolate around the World. Sponsorship benefits may include logo credit on exhibition and program materials, recognition on a highly-visible exhibition advertising and marketing campaign, and opportunities to host exclusive sponsor events and tours for clients and VIP guests.

Core to the Museum’s mission are our education programs, innovative conservation work, unparalleled scientific research, and extraordinary collection of nearly 25 million objects and artifacts. Opportunities for various program support are outlined below.

- Crown Family PlayLab: The Field Museum’s PlayLabis an early childhood learning center for children ages 2-6 focused on helping our youngest visitors develop a lifelong love for science and the natural world. Themed learning areas throughout the PlayLab– dinosaurs to archeology – create experiences that help children explore the world around them.

- Dozin’ with the Dinos:These educational overnights at the Museum provide children and their chaperones with an opportunity to explore the Museum after hours with special  access to the Museum’s exhibitions, collections, and scientists.

- Environment, Culture, and Conservation (ECCo) Program: ECCo is a team of Museum scientists devoted to translating science into lasting results for conservation, both in local Chicago communities, and in the remote forests of the Andes-Amazon. 

Collections & Research:
- Collection Digitization: The Museum is initiating a large-scale effort to digitize more than half a million specimens in order to increase access to our valuable collections for students, researchers, and scientists around the world.

The Museum seeks funding for several events each year including its President’s Leadership Council Education Fundraiser each summer and the Women’s Board Gala each fall. These celebrations are attended by hundreds of prominent corporate, civic, and social leaders to raise awareness and vital funds for Museum’s programs.
