Why create a new exhibition about the history of life on Earth?
Since Life Over Time opened over a decade ago, scientists have made great strides in our understanding of the history of life on Earth. Many Field Museum scientists have been at the forefront of such research. Even the acquisition and study of Sue, the Tyrannosaurus rex, have helped us understand the relationship between dinosaurs and modern birds.

The new exhibition will reflect the latest research in evolutionary science and let visitors learn more about the science that goes on behind-the-scenes at The Field Museum.
