Hundreds of spectacular specimens currently in storage at the Museum will be put on display, including early fish and mammals, flowering plants, and even the worlds oldest, most complete bat! See specimens and pictures of what the new exhibition may look like.
Plus more dinosaurs! Youll see for the first time an eighteen-foot-long juvenile sauropod (Rapetosaurus krausei) that roamed the Earth some 70 million years ago. Also, a number of fossils that were found with Sue are now ready to be exhibited, including part of another, younger T. rex.
There are even a few Charles Knight murals that have been off display at The Field Museum for years that will join the others on the walls.
The exhibition will feature fossils of animals and plants in displays evocative of each time period in the Earths history. Brand new hands-on interactives and video presentations will bring this dramatic story to life. And there will be special Scientist Stops along the way where you can learn about Field Museum scientists and their research.
