The Secrets of Soil and Underground Critters
Discover how soil scientists study the four “ingredients” of soil. Compare and contrast soil textures and learn why soil is important to plants and people. Learn the secrets of soil “recyclers” and interact with live decomposers (worms, millipedes, beetles, and other invertebrates).* Identify critters that live in prairie soils and practice scientific observation skills. preK-12th grade
