Evolving Planet: Educator Preview
Be one of the first to explore the new exhibition, and see how it reflects new discoveries in our understanding of evolution. You’ll see ancient fossils, early hominids, and an expanded hall of dinosaurs as you discover ways to link to the Illinois Learning Standards and develop field trip and classroom activities.

Evolution, Biodiversity, and Adaptations
Visit the new Evolving Planet exhibition and explore linkages to Illinois Learning Standards while developing focused field trip activities. You’ll discuss concepts of evolution, biodiversity, and adaptations that explore the scientific method using Field Museum research and Harris Educational Loan resources. Earn 3 CPDUs.

Exploring Ancient Life: Fossils in the Classroom
Learn about best practices in teaching evolution during this three-day expedition. You’ll get a guided tour of Evolving Planet and a behind-the-scenes collections tour. You’ll get to practice your own fossil collecting at Mazon Creek! Earn 15 CPDUs. 1 Lane Credit and 1 Aurora Graduate Credit are also available for those who attend the March 25 Educator Preview.

Our Extraordinary Evolving Planet
Learn everything you need to know about The Field Museum's newest exhibition, Evolving Planet. This tree-day workshop will help you gain a better understanding of the history of Earth, mass extinctions, evolution, and adaptation. You'll learn about the exhibition's development and its connections to the Museum's scientific research, go behind-the -scenes, and explore ways to link Evolving Planet to ILS. Earn 15 CPDUs, 1 Lane and/or 1 Aurora University Graduate Credit.

Educator's Expedition to British Columbia
Journey to the wondrous Pacific Northwest! Explore the rich traditions, daily life, mythology, and ecology of British Columbia in this nine-night, ten-day expedition to Victoria, Vancouver, and Queen Charlotte Island. The expedition will take teachers on a journey along the Pacific Coast to discover the rich indigenous cultures and ecosystems that link directly to The Field Museum's collections. Adaptable for grades K-12 grades. Earn CPDUs. Lane and/or Aurora credit.
