Plan a Group Visit: Sample Itineraries

Let us plan your group’s customized visit to see Baseball As America at The Field Museum. Here are some ideas!

Sample Daytime Itineraries
For groups of 15 or more

The Field Museum’s All Stars
Explore the All Star line-up at The Field Museum. Start your day in Baseball As America to celebrate the sport and a nation’s spirit. Then visit Sue, who may not have a batting average of 1,000, but boasts the impressive statistic of being the world’s largest, most complete, and most famous T. rex. Next up to the plate are the man-eating Lions of Tsavo, the ferocious felines made famous in the movie Ghost and the Darkness, starring Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas. After running the bases to visit all three, slide into home for a lunch from the Corner Bakery.

Insider’s Tip: Ask about our special docent presentations that are just for groups. Before your group enters the exhibition, enjoy a brief talk given by an expert docent. The docent will then accompany your group into the exhibition to answer questions along the way. Receive a free digital photo of your group when you request a docent presentation and wear your baseball team or scout troup uniforms.

Sample After-Hours Itineraries
For groups of 50 or more.

Private Baseball As America Viewing
Make Baseball As America the centerpiece of a lively and fun cocktail reception for your group’s members, clients or colleagues. Arrive at The Field Museum at 5 p.m. and enjoy an after-hours viewing of Baseball As America. Afterward, enjoy a cocktail buffet and soak up the Museum’s ambiance.
