Living Together COMMON CONCERNS, DIFFERENT RESPONSES

Community is who you make it
We humans are social beings. We look to one another for help in many of life’s tasks, from obtaining food, protecting ourselves and raising our children, to sharing and passing down our traditions and beliefs.

Yet we form our bonds -- our communities -- in different ways, and for different reasons. Neighborhood or nation, Little League or labor union, the communities in your life reflect your environment, your history and your creativity. We are connected in surprising ways, yet sometimes we choose one connection -- one group -- over all others.

Visit the Living Together exhibit at The Field Museum to learn more about the COMMON CONCERN of creating community.
