Who lives in your house?

For people everywhere, the decision about who will live in a household shapes the space, both inside and out. We arrange our homes with those people in mind, in ways that allow us to carry out the activities of daily life.

Sometimes it works out best for many people to live together under one roof, or at least in the same compound.

In other cases smaller groups of people live separately in homes they can leave quickly or take with them when they need to move to other places.
