Navajo

FM243067
More than 200 years ago, the Navajo people saw the Spanish making jewelry of silver. Navajo silversmiths created a squash-blossom design that is unique to Navajo jewelry. Now they sometimes decorate it with turquoise and other precious stones. Today, wearing this jewelry is one way the Navajo express their appreciation of beauty.
