Measuring Extinction
Steve Goodman
Madagascar
The island of Madagascar contains an extraordinary number of plants and animals that are found nowhere else in the world. Unfortunately, many of these plants and animals are poorly known and threatened with extinction. Steve Goodman studies the animal life of Madagascar, especially birds and mammals, to help understand how habitat disturbance may cause animal populations to decline. This information allows the conservation community to make effective recommendations to help save Madagascar's remaining wildlife.
Steve Goodman was born in Detroit, Michigan, and studied at the University of Michigan.
