Jonathan Haas and Winifred Creamer are conducting research in the American Southwest on the effects of European contact and colonialismon the Pueblo peoples of northern New Mexico in the 16th and 17th centuries A.D. Jonathan and Winifred are examining archaeological records of the area to gain new insights into the effects of Spanish disease and regional warfare on the Pueblo peoples.

Jonathan Haas was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and studied at the University of Arizona and Columbia University. Winifred Creamer was born in Shelton, Washington, and studied at Tulane University.
