Snorkel Gear
In shallow-water hard-bottom habitats, like rock ledges or reefs, bivalves live attached to hard surfaces and cannot readily be shoveled and sieved.
Diving masks, fins, and snorkels then become important to locate and collect specimens, literally one at a time.
