Linda M. Nicholas, M.A.
Adjunct Curator of Mesoamerican Archaeology and Ethnology, The Field Museum
Linda Nicholas has done extensive archaeological work in Oaxaca, Mexico, for more than 20 years. Lindas early work focused on studies of land use and agriculture in the Valley of Oaxaca, and she currently helps supervise excavations at El Palmillo, a large hilltop terrace site in the eastern Valley of Oaxaca. A talented cartographer and photographer, Linda is responsible for most of the expedition's digital images and photographs.
Jennifer Clark
Jennifer Clark is a graduate student in the physical anthropology program at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has extensive experience with human remains. She has lectured on cranio-facial reconstruction, forensics, and mass disaster issues. Part Native-American, Jennifer has also worked in coordination with Native American groups from Chillicothe, Ohio, on issues relating to the destruction of Adena and Hopewell burials. Jennifer is currently co-authoring a laboratory handbook on human osteology (the study of bones), which makes her ideally suited for her role as osteologist on the El Palmillo project.
