The Negaunee Foundation generously funds the expeditions@fieldmuseum program.
The World Bank, NORAD (Norwegian aid for developing countries organization), and the Dutch Government have partially supported the National Biodiversity Inventory of Costa Rica. The National Science Foundation has generously supported Greg Mueller’s work in Costa Rica. The Costa Rican National Biodiversity Institute, University of Costa Rica, and The Field Museum provide research and collections space.
The overwhelming task of the fungal inventory survey is only possible with the collaboration and help of the Costa Rican community. SINAC, University of Costa Rica, and INBio have committed significant resources towards this project.
Another very important partner in this project is Dr. Roy Halling at the New York Botanical Garden. Roy has been Greg's close collaborator on this project and other projects in Latin America over the past 15 years.
