Meet the Team Milagro Mata Head of Mycology, INBio I have a degree in biology with a specialization in biosystems and mushroom taxonomy (basidiomycetes). I am the head of the Mycology Department at INBio (Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad de Costa Rica) and am currently in charge of the Mushroom Inventory Project that spans five different conservation areas in Costa Rica. For this project we are also carrying out taxonomic identification of species of macro mushrooms through systematic sampling methods. Additionally, we are working in conjunction with a worldwide network of mycologists to publish the newly discovered species for scientific purposes and registries for Costa Rica as well as field guides, electronic publications and various education documents targeting the general public or a specialized public (students, educators, ecotourists). continue to tools >>
