Connie Van Beek
Preparator, Fossil Vertebrates, The Field Museum
Connie Van Beek has been preparing vertebrate fossils for the Museum's department of geology since 1998. Connie has a fine arts background and was a part of the SUE prep team in 1999. Her field experience includes digging for dinosaurs in Wyoming and Montana with Museum curator Peter Makovicky. On this trip, Connie will help excavate fossils and stabilize and repair fossils should they break when being removed from the ground.

Kerin Claeson
Kerin Claeson has just completed her first year of graduate research on fossil and living lungfishes at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she is studying with Field Museum research associate Dr. William E. Bemis. Kerin's previous field experience includes collecting fossil lungfishes from the Devonian of Pennsylvania to the Cretaceous of Argentina. On this trip, Kerin will help excavate fossils.
