Baining Masks Inside & Out: Radiography at the Field Museum
Power tools, a mallet, and a sewing machine – all in a day's work at the Regenstein Conservation Laboratory.
This is my 12th and final week working for the Field Museum this summer.
Over the past few weeks my knowledge of photography has expanded exponentially.
I am now more than half way through my internship, and beginning to do some more engaging tasks.
Last Thursday and Friday, June 21 and 22, Kirsty Gillespie visited the museum to look at our Lihir collection.
Preparing to XRF
Although I was absent for most of the time the scanner was here I did get to help out with the scanning of the Marquesan Drum.
As I finish up my first three weeks I find it is a good time to look back on my initial experiences and reflections.
