The Field Museum’s Grainger Hall of Gems is the most comprehensive exhibition of its kind between the east and west coasts, encompassing more than 600 gemstones and 150 pieces of magnificent jewelry, both antique and modern.

Field Museum curator Dr. Lance Grande provided gemological expertise for the development of the exhibition, which explores the connections between finished gems and their natural origin, as well as the relationships between different varieties of gemstones.
