David Muhammad
David Muhammad is a youth activist, consultant, and event promoter based in Madison WI. As a youth he joined the Nation of Islam which began his activism, leading him to do coalition work with the National Council of La Raza, NOI Latino Ministry, and serving on the board of the United States Student Coalition. After working with different organizations on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, Muhammad founded "Hip Hop Generation-Hip Hop As A Movement" which put on 4 nationally reknowned conferences that grew to be the largest college Hip Hop gathering in the country. He was recognized for his work in the Active Element Foundation's "The Future 500", which featured him as one of the top 25 activists under 25. Currently, Muhammad is working on various consulting projects and is a freelance journalist who has written for Allhiphop.com, The Final Call, and Contrabandit.com.
