A discussion with Michael Pollan, author of the best selling book The Botany of Desire: A Plant's-Eye View of the World. This book is a complex examination of the relationship between humans and plants and our dependency on each other.

A scientist from The Field Museums Pritzker DNA Lab will be stationed in the main hall of the Museum one Saturday per month during the run of this exhibition.

Hands-On Activity
This activity introduces visitors to Mendels First Law of Genetics (Law of Segregation) using genetic characteristics, punnet squares, mathematics and the scientific method to predict the outcome of monohybrid crosses.
