A PAR Model: Seven Key Steps for Collaborative Research
At the very beginning of a PAR project, each partner should ask what they can learn from the other - not just in a professional sense, thought that should be discussed explicitly, too - but in a life sense. What ways of living and knowing does each group have that can be shared with the other?
In this section, find seven key steps that outline the PAR process. Drawing on the collective experiences of CCUC and partners, we outline a recipe for PAR that can be followed and adjusted according to a variety of research conditions. These steps are based upon collaborative research projects, primarily in urban areas, within the social sciences (anthropology, sociology, social work, etc.).
