ORDER—RODENTIA
FAMILY—Muridae

COMMON NAME—Luzon Cordillera forest mouse.

DISTRIBUTION—
Endemic to the Central Cordillera of northern Luzon (Abra [FMNH], Benguet [FMNH], Ilocos Norte [FMNH], and Mountain [FMNH] provinces)

HABITAT—Moderately common in primary forest and second growth from ca. 1000 m to 2000 m, occasionally to 2500 m (Musser, 1982c; Rabor, 1955; Sanborn, 1952).

STATUS—
Probably stable.

COMMENT—
The genus Apomys was reviewed by Musser (1982c), with modifications by Musser and Heaney (1992).
