FAMILY—Muridae

COMMON NAME—Dinagat hairy-tailed rat.

DISTRIBUTION— Known only from Dinagat Island (DMNH); (Heaney and Rabor, 1982).

HABITAT—Disturbed lowland forest at ca. 350 m (Musser et al., in press).

STATUS—
Unknown; geographically restricted, and habitat subject to destruction.

COMMENT ADDED IN 2002This species was described as Batomys rusattus by Musser et al., 1998.
