restricted and rare. Now extinct on Cebu, Guimaras, and probably Masbate.
Heavily hunted, severely endangered (Cox,
1987; Evans et al., 1993; Oliver, 1994; Oliver
et al., 1992).
IUCN and U.S. ESA: Endangered.
COMMENTSRecognized
as a distinct species by Grubb and Groves (1983).
