FAMILY—Rhinolophidae

COMMON NAME—Bicolored roundleaf bat

DISTRIBUTION—I
ndia to Timor; Philippine specimens from Luzon [(Camarines Sur Province, (USNM)], Mindoro (MCZ).

HABITAT—
Unknown in the Philippines. Roosts in caves in peninsular Malaysia (Payne et al., 1985).

STATUS—
Unknown.

NOTE ADDED IN 2005--Esselstyn et al. (2004) re-examined the specimen from the UMMZ reported by Allen (1922) and re-identified it as H. ater; there are no other reports of H. ater from Palawan.
