HABITAT
Recorded in primary
lowland and montane forest from 50 m to 1125 m, and in an agricultural
area near sea level (Mudar and Allen, 1986; Heaney et al., in press, unpubl.
data).
STATUSUnknown,
probably uncommon.
COMMENTConsidered
to be a subspecies of M. formosus by Corbet and Hill (1992) and
Koopman (1993), but we disagree on the basis of cranial and external morphology.
