et al., 1993a).
Verified records from Abra [FMNH], Benguet [USNM], Kalinga-Apayao [AMNH],
Laguna [UPLB], Nueva Viscaya [UPLB] provinces (Oliver et al., 1993a).
Recently verified from Bataan/Zambales region (Ong, unpubl. data).
HABITATFrom
sea level to high mountains (at least 2000 m), in primary and secondary
forest (Rabor, 1955; Thomas, 1898) and heavily disturbed scrub (Oliver
et al., 1993a).
STATUSWidespread
and apparently common in forests; hunted (Pasicolan, 1993; Oliver
et al., 1993a).
NOTE ADDED IN 2005--Reported in montane forest from 925-1,050 m elevation in Balbalasang, Kalinga Province (Heaney et al. 2004)
