FAMILY—Vespertilionidae
COMMON NAME—Least
pipistrelle.
DISTRIBUTION—Thailand to Australia;
Philippine records from Luzon [Rizal (USNM)], Negros (FMNH), and Sibuyan
(FMNH). Also reported from Mindanao by Taylor (1934).
HABITAT—Primary
lowland and montane forest from 800 m to 1700 m (Heaney et al., unpubl.
data).
STATUS— Widespread
and moderately common.
