ORDER—CHIROPTERA
FAMILY—Pteropodidae

COMMON NAME—Mindoro pallid flying fox.

DISTRIBUTION—
Known only from Mindoro Island (Heaney, Dans, & Crombie, unpubl. data).

HABITAT—Recorded only in disturbed lowland forest (Heaney, Dans, & Crombie, unpubl. data).

STATUS—Known only from patches of forest in the lowlands of Mindoro, which have undergone extensive deforestation (see maps in Custodio et al., 1996; Oliver etal., 1993a). Poulations certainly very small and fragmented. This species is probably highly endangered.
