ORDER—CHIROPTERA
FAMILY—Rhinolophidae

COMMON NAME—Bornean horseshoe bat.

DISTRIBUTION—
Indochina, the Malay Peninsula, Java, and Borneo (Corbet & Hill, 1992; Csorba et al, 2003). Tentatively reported from Palawan Island by Esselstyn et al. (2004) on the basis of a single specimen.

HABITAT—On Borneo, the species roosts in lowland caves (Payne et al. (1985). On Palawan, the single specimen tentatively assigned to this species was mist-netted in a small banana grove in mixed agricultural/second growth forest (Esselstyn et al., 2004).
