The Field Museum
Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship
Sub Header

Plan a field trip to Real Pirates and try out classroom and field trip activities from the Educator Guide, take part in student programs, and check out accompanying Harris Educational Loan Materials for an in-depth exploration of pirate culture and history.

When planning summer camp field trips, please note that there are several areas in the exhibition that can get a little crowded. While we encourage guided activities in the exhibition, please note that larger groups may be asked to work in smaller teams, and/or move through a section of the exhibition.

Pre-registration is required for students to visit this new exhibition. Field trips to Real Pirates are FREE for Chicago schools with pre-registration, $4.50 for Illinois schools outside of Chicago with pre-registration, and $17.00 for schools outside of Illinois.

For more information on our student classes and educator programs, please call 312.665.7500 or register here.
